Why Fortem?
Fortem is Latin for strong. The name was chosen deliberately — for the teachers, nurses, physicians, veterans, and public servants who took on significant debt to enter fields that serve others.
The people who chose public service over higher-paying corporate paths are often the same people most underserved by the student loan system. Federal forgiveness programs were designed for them — but navigating those programs correctly requires knowledge that servicers won't volunteer and that most financial advisors don't have.
Fortem Guidance exists to be the independent, credentialed guide that the system never provided. Private, accessible, ongoing, and completely free of the conflicts of interest that compromise so much of the guidance available today.
All services are educational and informational in nature. Fortem Guidance is not a licensed financial advisor. Services do not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice.
